My name is Neal, so was happy to find beer named after me !

The original Budvar was ok , how does this fair
Let's get into it.
First and Last Impressions
Pop open that bottle and whack it in a glass.
The aroma is oaty and malty first, quite sweet. Its a nice amber golden colour.
Sadly, There was no head during or after the pour.
First taste is a sweet biscuity hobnob. it's crisp and has some body, it's got quite a nice mouthfeel.
The initial flavour has strength and reminds me of other European strong lagers - 5%+ but the underlying sweetness and bitterness spoils it.
The finish is lingering and I'm going to say my new word of the week "it's a piney sour bitterness" with a mild malt layer, it wasn't very nice to be honest. It has qualities of other Czech beers but not the best ones.
Info
Ingredients : Water, Barley Malt, Hops
The Final Score
It has some good bits, the underlying flavour is ok and im sure on a hot day it would quench a beer thirst but there are better out there.
