Strawberries and Beer fill me with fear.

Well, I am enjoying my foray into fruity beers, and this one is fruity!

Let's get into it

First and Last Impressions

Crack it open and pour, nice light, slightly reddish amber colour, slightly fizzy and a nice full head. As usual, the head fizzes away quite quickly, like most of the AF beers I have tried. I had to have a big deep inhale of this, I was hoping for a real deep fruitiness but instead, I got a mild sweet aroma. It actually reminded me of the sweetshop I used to go to as a child, the ones with all the sweet jars on the shelves and the musty old newspapers, that's the smell.

First taste, very sweet and fruity, I can definitely taste strawberries and raspberries, my thoughts were, that it reminded me of a Haribo fruity ring, like the ones you get in the star mix bags. Mouthfeel is medium, not watery and satisfying.

I don't get much in the way of hops but I did get an oatyness that was pleasant on the way out. For aftertaste, it's a fruity sweetness and a tiny bit bitter.

The Final Score

This was a lot of fun for me, this new world of flavours is fantastic. It's an enjoyable beer, sweet and fruity, I think I call it more oaty than vanilla, but as we know we all have different tastebuds :)~

I liked drinking it and was very intrigued by how it would work. It does work and it's good. Would I drink it all night? no. Would I keep one in my fridge, for summer defo!

I think we are spoilt for choice nowadays with all the weird and wonderful beers available to us.

To sum up : Sweet, fruity and fun. it's worth a try, it's a unique flavour
