Strange name, great heritage

I used to love a blonde beer many moons ago.
Let's get into it
First and Last Impressions
Whack it in a glass, and it has a nice frothy head that seems to be staying around. The aroma is wheaty and oaty sweet like fresh bread.
First taste is bready and wheaty and subtly sweet with a mild bitterness, this carries through to the finish where I found it change to a burnt caramel flavour. It's an interesting taste, not your average beer flavour, but then it started it's life as a strong European blonde beer. It's nice to see it has held on to that character and layers of flavour. As I finish up I notice a very subtle citrus zing that could be giving the bitterness.

The Final Score
To Sum Up : It's an interesting beer, it has a lot of the strong Belgian beer character and does well to hold it all together without being overly sweet or bitter.
Whilst I wouldn't drink it all night, I would definitely have a few of these in the fridge during summer as its got character and is interesting to drink.
